Lebanese Thanksgiving is a thing! And these are some of the traditional Lebanese favorites that we’ll enjoy making and sharing for the holiday. They belong on the table along with the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and other classics!

There is so much to love about Thanksgiving feasting–especially the way this meal welcomes so many faces to the table. And so many dishes, too! Lebanese American traditions hold strong at the holidays, melding favorite Lebanese recipes with all of the classic American dishes right there too.

Whether you are looking to bring some healthy Mediterranean flair to your feast with Lebanese recipes, or you’re Lebanese American keeping culinary traditions alive, or both!, these are some of the recipes that will get you there with great joy and ease, too.

Add to the day a Lebanese Mezze Platter to get things started right–light bites that are loaded with flavor without stealing from all of the delights to come with the meal.

Give your recipes a special Lebanese touch

Go for the full-on traditional recipes and also try giving your other recipes the “Lebanese touch.” Here are some of my favorite ways to do that:

Cranberry Sauce: add a whisper of rose water and a shower of chopped pistachios

Olive Oil Mashed Potatoes: use olive oil and lemon instead of butter for a light, fabulous flavor

Roasted Sweet Potatoes: roast these beauties with a dash of bright sumac spice.

Pomegranate Glazed Sweet Potatoes: ohhh the glossy glory of these!

Traditional Lebanese cuisine is a must to save the cultural identity and heritage of generations from immigrants!!! Bring on the turkey stuffed with hashwee rice! Itโ€™s delicious.
